Structural Plastic Components
Plastic Parts
Designed for
Recline mechanism housings, seat adjustment guides, mounting brackets and functional components requiring higher stiffness and load capacity than standard ABS or PP.
Structural plastic components are produced in glass-filled polyamide (PA66-GF30), POM or glass-filled PP where load-bearing performance is needed. Component design is reviewed by ViaSeat's engineering team against the load path before tooling to ensure material selection is appropriate. All structural parts receive CMM verification on first-article and statistical batch checks thereafter.
Key features
- Engineering load-path review before tooling approval
- CMM first-article verification — every new tool
- PA66-GF30 / POM / PC-ABS — matched to application loads
- Statistical batch CMM sampling ongoing
